Arsana Estate (4 Bedroom)

The Arsana Estate is located in Nyambu – Tabanan, one of the prettiest villages in Bali and only a mere thirty minutes drive from Bali‘s stylish centre, set amidst the rice fields of the Tabanan Regency and perched amongst a set of lush terraces overlooking a raw tropical jungle backdrop.

The Estate is tiered on three levels: the villas with a stunning view of the entire valley and the mountains in the distance; the living areas set amongst the tree tops, and the pool and pool house overlooking the Sungi River.

The Bedrooms

The master suite comprises an air-conditioned study room, which is almost completely surrounded by glass, an air-conditioned TV room with a wall-mounted, 32-inch screen satellite TV, DVD player and quality sound system, a bedroom, dressing area and bathroom. There are two open air seating areas:-the “sunken lounge’ overlooking the jungle and ideal for an early morning cup of tea, and an open-air relaxation bale with a huge cushioned daybed. The bale is a great spot for relaxing with a book or a cocktail; it enjoys gorgeous views of the garden and the sunsets.

Each air-conditioned one bedroom pavilion is secluded and private. Two one bedroom villas accommodate comfortable queen size beds, whilst one villa has been specifically designed with friends or children in mind and has two twin beds within a similarly designed setting. The beds can also be moved together to accommodate couples.

Each of the cream terrazzo bathrooms are bordered by a bulrush pond, and each features a sunken soaking tub, a toilet within its own frosted glass cubicle, and a spacious, glass shower cubicle. Glass doors fold open to create an open-air experience.
The “Hub” – Living Areas

This is the social hub of the villa, an impressive symmetrical two tier building which presides over the terraces and swimming pool. The upper level includes a hip cocktail bar, huge lounge area, a dining area and an open breakfast bar. This area can be as intimate or grand as required. For more formal entertaining it’s capable of housing large groups for dinner, or for cocktails and canapés around the pool.

The lower level includes two cosy inlets perfect for massage treatments, an eighteen metre infinity pool overlooking a jungle paradise and a large poolside area, perfect for open air daytime dining. Located in a private room off the ‘Hub’, the games room houses a billiard table, a chess set, two big armchairs and a host of bar stools positioned next to a bar-shelf, where guests can sit and rest their drinks while watching their opponents at work. The air-conditioned AV room is located to one side of the bar. It is equipped with a 60 inch, LCD, flat screen, satellite TV, together with a DVD player and a quality sound system with surround speakers positioned on the ceiling.

The Living Room

This large living space overlooks the swimming pool below, and its folding glass doors open onto a sunny terrace. The room features a teakwood floor and is furnished with a huge, deeply cushioned red sofa, an arching chrome designer lamp and a low level coffee table. The perfect pre and post dinner chill out area to enjoy starlit views of the tropical palm backdrop.

A semi-circular terrazzo bar is located next to the living room, and is equipped with six smart red bar stools, red lamps and well-positioned bose music speakers. This well-stocked bar is a great place for taste testing the array of cocktails on order! It also presents the perfect reception facility for parties and events.

The Dining Room

The large dining room is a mirror version of the living room, situated on the opposite side of the open-air terrace. The room is furnished with an impressive glass-topped dining table that seats fourteen people in comfortable cushioned dining chairs. Like the living room, it boasts glass walls on three sides, which folds open onto the terrace. The Estate’s chef will prepare a sumptuous meal to personal taste, ensuring guests will enjoy fine dining in this al fresco setting. The stylish open-plan kitchen is a designers dream in white terrazzo and stainless steel. Pendulous aluminium lanterns hang over the worktop, which doubles as an eating area housing eight white ‘satellite dish’ stools.

The open-air breakfast room is a pergola with a terracotta tiled floor. It is furnished with a wood and chrome table and matching chairs and is decorated with beautiful potted orchids. A great outdoor area in which to each a fresh breakfast juice and soak up the rising sun!

Should guests decide to enjoy breakfast or lunch outside, the poolside dining lounge is a cool, informal area to snack and chat in the midst of nature’s luxury.

The Pool

Undeniably one of the largest villa pools on the island, an infinity pool rests at the foot of the Hub, fed into by a fifteen metre cascading water feature. The 18 x 6 metre swimming pool features two infinity edges and boasts an ironwood deck that extends the length of the pool and almost appears to float upon the surface of the water. There is a separate pool designed for the kids..or kids at heart!

The fast-flowing river at the foot of the Estate is particularly beautiful. Guests will be lulled by the soothing flow of the water and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, beautiful butterflies and birds including the Java Kingfisher, a tropical addition to the Estate. They can also witness the traditions of rural Bali, as one part of the garden presents a small terraced rice field and a vegetable garden.

Villa Istana Semer (4 Bedroom)

“Istana Semer” has for many years been considered one of Bali’s most luxurious villas available for rental accommodation. It is the “Classic Villa”. Set in beautifully landscaped, tropical gardens with views over terraced rice paddies, the position of the house enables one to enjoy the ocean breezes, as well as the famous Bali sunsets.

Within the gardens there is a temple, bale (traditional Balinese pavilion), sun beds, lotus ponds, 15-meter swimming pool, children’s playhouse, and a leveled lawn area for sports as such as volleyball, or croquet. The house itself is positioned around gardens and ponds with rooms joined by canopied walkways. Within the guest wing there are two bedrooms (one with a canopied queen bed and the other with two double beds, all with bedrooms with air-con, ensuite bathrooms, TV and DVD. In the other wing two master bedrooms are situated with similar layouts, one being upstairs and the other downstairs with balconies, sitting area and large dressing rooms and bathrooms.

The circular entertaining area/ living room and dining alcove have a spectacular outlook and a covered walkway, which leads to a carved stone wall sculpture and continuous flow indoor splash pool with adjacent opium bed for relaxing. The kitchen and pantry wing is fully equipped to cater for preparation of international cuisine. Villa Sabana (5 Bedroom)

Villa Sabana is located on the southwest coast just 40 minutes from the international airport. The villa is a short hop to numerous world-class surfing breaks, local restaurants and, if you need a fix, just 15 minutes away from the shopping and nightlife of Seminyak. Tanah Lot and the championship Greg Norman designed Nirwana golf course are only 15 minutes away.

The entrance courtyard is studded with fragrant frangipani trees, western sunset views over terraced rice fields and the peaks of Gunung Agung to the north. The villa sits on over 2700 meters of gently sloping tropical gardens mixed with expansive areas for lawn games. An 18m x 4m infinity lap pool reflects the terraced rice fields and gently swaying coconut palms that border the property.

Villa Sabana was designed for the enjoyment of one to three families or five couples. The 650 square meter villa’s contemporary, tropical architecture blends teak plank floors contrasted against white cut palimanan stone walls and coffered ceilings. The owners, long term residents in Asia, have created a peaceful ambiance by combining Asian antiques with modern custom designed pieces imported from throughout the region. Beautiful fabrics enhance each bedroom and sitting area, adding an aura of simplicity and comfort. An extensive collection of contemporary Asian artwork and artifacts are spread throughout the villa. Balconies and sitting porches have been positioned to capture the stunning overlook of verdant rice fields and distant mountains.

The poolside bale is a large open sitting area with overstuffed rattan couches, ceiling fans to stir the tropical breezes and a 42 inch flat panel television, DVD and iPod docking station.

The main residence is two stories with two master bedrooms upstairs both with king size beds, en suite marble bathrooms, rain showers, tubs and dressing areas. The first bedroom is decorated with contemporary teak furniture designed by the owners while the second bedroom features antiques hand-chosen from specialty shops throughout Bali. Both bedrooms have central air-conditioning and private porches. There is a large upstairs sitting porch providing dramatic views in three directions. Downstairs in the main residence are two bedrooms each with twin four poster beds, antique side tables and daybeds to accommodate a third child. Both downstairs bedrooms have central air-conditioning, en suite marble bathrooms, tubs, and feature both indoor and outdoor showers. There are private porches with daybeds if one wishes to escape for a quiet read. All four bedrooms are accessed through a separate entrance which can be closed to create a private space within the larger villa – a design element the owners included for those with smaller children. The dining room in the main residence continues the elegant simplicity of the villa with a large modern teak table to seat 12. Antique cabinets complement the modern table and chairs. The dining room can be air-conditioned or features large teak doorways that can be left open to capture cool tropical breezes.

The media/game room is an independent structure which features a 47 inch flat panel television, DVD and iPod docking station. A large overstuffed couch and antiques fill the room adding a comfortable, relaxing destination after a day by the pool. There are games and puzzles for the children as well as a selection of DVD’s. The media room is fully air-conditioned, but as with most of the villa has large teak doors which can be slid open for breezes.

The fifth bedroom located to the left as you enter the compound is called the “Chinese room” by the staff. The gracefully carved antique Chinese screen that acts as a headboard is from the owner’s private collection. The room has a large built in daybed to accommodate a child. The fabrics on both the bed and daybed reflect the room’s Asian decor. The en suite marble bathroom is large with double sinks, a tub with a garden view and both indoor and outdoor showers. There is central air-conditioning throughout the fifth bedroom and a private porch with daybed.

Villa Sabana was designed as a family home. There is plenty of space for children to run and play lawn games. For adults there are wide choices of relaxing areas spread throughout the compound. Our service team is child friendly and arrangements can be made for babysitting ahead of time. Our chef is well versed in the preparation of local, international and children’s fare. For adults, arrangements can be made for in-house massages or appointments at a local spa. Our staff and driver can help you arrange excursions around the island. General Description

A pass way brings the guests from the large parking area to the main building with at the entrance an amazing wood wall fountain giving the necessary serenity to enjoy an exceptional stay. Stepping into, a staircase brings you down the open air living area and library with an amazing view. On one side, we access to the fully equipped kitchen with indoor and outdoor dining area and then to the swimming pool with its iron wood deck and its stone pizza oven. On the other side, you access to the forest view master bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom featuring a large wooden Japanese style bathtub. A large LCD TV is available in the library near the walking dressing that brings you to the kid room which can be converted into a relaxing room, perfect for massage. Further, a path way lead to a second building featuring 2 bedrooms sharing a spacious and comfortable bathroom.

Living and Dining

Refreshed by light breezes, the expansive living and dining areas of the villa open directly to the wide and beautiful terraced rice fields. Although the living areas are separate and distinct, connected by steps and levels, they appear to blend into one limitless space directly in symphony with the natural surroundings.

There are three levels of living space at Villa Zolima:

The major and more dramatic living room offers a panoramic view of the valley. Open at all sides to the natural world, with day beds, ottomans and cushions for relaxing gatherings. A few steps below, the smaller covered living room is a snug place for more intimate conversations. Finally, the library, protected by walls and with floor-to-ceiling windows, provides a homier enclosed environment with large comfortable sofas and cushions.

A few steps away from the living rooms, the semi-detached dining pavilion opens to the rice fields backed by an ocean view through hidden glass doors. With a fully-equipped contemporary kitchen that comfortably seats 8 people, the pavilion offers a more sheltered dining experience during stormy rains, and extra air-conditioned coolness during humid heat waves.

Dining Experiences

The large attached deck, with a roof canopy, has the same beautiful views as the dining pavilion and easily accommodates up to 12 people at its oversized table.

The Library

The large and cozy library offers high-end media facilities, including a Bose sound system which operates throughout the living areas, an I-pod base, satellite television reception, an LCD 32 inch flat-screen television, as well as a library of books, board games, dvds and music.

Villa Samudra (3 Bedroom)

This absolute beachfront villa is characterised by a large garden that extends directly onto a private 14-metre beachside buff with timber decking, towering coconut palms, and wooden steps leading down to the beach. This is the place to chill out and gaze at the graceful kites scattered throughout the sky, or watch both the sunrise and the sunset create a warm pink glow across the mysterious, towering, sea-cliffs of Nusa Penida Island.

In addition to the wonderful views, the garden of the two-storey Villa Samudra also boasts a 14 x 4 metre lap pool, which is 1.8 metres in depth and lined with green Java stone. A massage pavilion rests at one end of the pool and a bale bengong (relaxation pavilion) is also located in the garden, together with an outdoor shower, sunloungers, timeworn stone-carvings, terracotta carved wall panels, palms, sweet scented frangipani trees and coastal shrubs and plants.

Villa Samudra’s semi open-air living and dining area borders the swimming pool. Open at each end, equipped with bamboo blinds and cooled by ceiling fans, this is tropical living at its very best. A Jacuzzi extends into the living space and overflows into the pool creating an attractive waterfall feature. A hi-fi system with surround sound is provided for the entertainment of the guests, and wireless high-speed Internet access allows guests to send and receive their e-mails inside the villa or beside the pool, in the garden or on the beach. The contemporary furniture is set off by a myriad of textures from smooth white Palimanan stone to carved antique doors framed by dark grey volcanic rock. Impressive local artwork adorns the walls, harmonized with primitive artifacts. A rustic coffee table, and comfortable sofas and chairs, are complemented by richly colored silk cushions, together with a woven rattan and wood-skin mat resting upon the Merbau wood floor. A striking feature is the curved floating staircase, fashioned in richly patterned wood and supported by eight columns. The open plan dining area is furnishing with a table for six and overlooks a lotus pond. The pond is traversed by stepping stones that lead through a pebbled courtyard to the fully equipped service kitchen where the staff will prepare delicious meals. Every need of the guests has been considered, and a particularly thoughtful touch is the provision of a barbeque. A series of wide stone pillars create a partition, for privacy, between the kitchen and the living and dining area.

The air-conditioned master bedroom, complete with en-suite bathroom and wide balcony, covers the whole of the upper floor under a soaring pitched roof. A queen size bed is made up with top quality linens and a red and black Chinese silk bedcover. Rich drapes frame the windows, local Paras stone bricks form a wall behind the bed, old photographs enhance the decor, and a wooden cabinet houses a satellite TV, DVD and CD player. Glass doors and fly screens open out onto a timber balcony deck commanding breathtaking views of the coastline and ocean. The en-suite bathroom comprises two mirrored dressing rooms with ample storage space, together with two separate washing areas linked by a covered balcony walkway. This clever design allows the dressing rooms and bathroom to be accessed by two different doors from the bedroom, and the walkway is enclosed with fretwork wooden walls, which allow the cool breezes to permeate. One of the grey terrazzo-floored bathroom areas features a black terrazzo corner bathtub and twin washbasins. The other area features a shower, toilet and washbasin.

The two remaining air-conditioned bedrooms are located downstairs, one with queen size bed and the other one with twin bed, other facilities are mirror images of each other, each with en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, DVD and CD player. Glass doors and fly screens in each room open onto a personal terrace furnished with daybeds, and a dressing area is located behind the bed. Each garden bathroom features ’his ’n’ hers’ washbasins, toilet, and a black terrazzo sunken bathtub and shower, bordered by plants, together with a three-tiered running water feature, and a wall for privacy.

The Location

The recent construction of the Sanur-Kusamba by-pass road has made this area accessible to the rest of the island and positions Villa Samudra within easy driving distance of most of Bali’s tourist attractions. Villa Samudra is just forty-five minutes drive from Bali’s international airport, thirty minutes from the cultural town of Ubud , ten minutes from Sukawati art and handicraft market, ten minutes from Sanur, and thirty minutes from the restaurants, shops and nightlife of Kuta and Seminyak. Ketewel village is the origin of the famous Legong Bededari Dance, and the neighbouring village of Sawa produced the finest Legong dancers on the island. The beach of Pabean , in front of Villa Samudra, was once a small port through which oriental traders brought their products; at low tide you can still see the structure of the old harbour and a Chinese cemetery is located nearby. Balinese Hindu purification ceremonies are held beside the ocean at the sacred Pura Segara sea temple, and the nearby reef is renowned for its world class surf breaks.

Umalas is a tranquil area where the landscape is dominated by rice terraces and meandering laneways. It is just a short drive away from the lively pace of Seminyak where many travelers choose to enjoy a night out of fine food and entertainment. Umalas features a renowned horse stable facility and guided horseback tours take place daily through the village and along the beach at sunset.

Villa Atas Awan – North Ubud is a serene complex of two magnificent wooden houses separated by a stunning 30 meter swimming pool. The houses, perched on a hillside among rice paddies 20 minutes north of Ubud, provide grand vistas of Bali’s central mountain range. The expansive gardens, pool decks and open sitting areas on the first and second floors of the house provide wonderful spaces for outdoor living.

The houses, which are over 100 years old, were transported from Java and reconstructed on former rice paddies on the edge of a small village. The only sounds heard at Villa Atas Awan are those of nature; birds, insects and the occasional crow of a rooster. After a day relaxing in the peace and serenity of Villa Atas Awan a trip to the small, artistic town of Ubud feels like a visit to a bustling city.

Ubud, which is reached by driving through small villages and picturesque rice paddies , is Bali’s artistic capital. All manner of artist, whether working in stone, paint, wood or ceramic is located in Ubud. The town boasts arts galleries, shops, a wide variety of restaurants as well as cultural shows, bookstores and supermarkets. Ubud is approximately 75 minutes from Bali’s international airport.

The houses, which were built by two brothers, reflect their love of outdoor living and Balinese art. In total there are seven bedrooms that can easily accommodate 14 or more people. The complex is ideal for groups whether they be families, seminars, yoga retreats or other groups. The 30 meter pool is perfect for relaxing or for those who like more strenuous exercise such as swimming laps. The house has 4 full time staff with a driver on call. The staffs, including the house manager at Villa Atas Awan, are all fluent English speakers.

Our staff will provide you with daily breakfast, keep the house clean and comfortable and provide you with suggestions and information to make your stay more enjoyable. One enters Villa Atas Awan through the outer courtyard which is graced with a beautiful fountain, pond and Balinese statues. Climbing the stairs through double Balinese doors the first sight is of another tranquil fountain surrounded by a plethora of tropical plants. A path leads left to Villa Atas and left to Villa Awan.

Both villas are century old wooden houses reconstructed in a quiet rural setting The houses, which have been updated with modern baths and electrical appliances, are anchored by solid pillars of ironwood and finished in teak and other tropical woods.

Villa Atas comfortably sleeps six in queen size beds in three bedrooms. The guest bedrooms all have large bath tubs and showers. This villa has a one of kind infinity bath tub in rear of the house on the second floor with magnificent views of a river gorge as well as rice paddies in the distance. The second floor suites in both houses have sliding glass panels that open to beautiful vistas of mountains and rice paddies.

Villa Awan sleeps eight in two twin bedded rooms, a guest room with a king sized bed and the master bedroom with a beautiful hand built Balinese bed. The second floor of Villa Awan has two large baths with both bath tubs and showers for the three second floor guest bedrooms. Both of the villas have wonderful outdoor decks with comfortable sitting arrangements that are perfect for enjoying the tropical breezes that keep Villa Atas Awan so comfortable.

The top floor of both houses, like the bridge of a ship over- looking a sea of green, comprises the spacious master suites. Each suite has a unique bathroom which boast large bathtubs and rain head showers as well as beautiful views over the countryside. Each master suite also boast is own small outdoor deck which are perfect to view both sunrise and the approach of the moon.

The houses are cooled by the natural breezes blow constantly at this location. All beds have mosquito netting although at its altitude of mosquitoes are quite rare.

Further, the main house is featuring a two level building situated on the side of the large swimming pool. Our villa is located in a not too touristy area of Bali, approximately 20 minutes away from Denpasar. It is only 5 minutes away from the volcanic beach of Pantai Seseh. At the beach, you will enjoy long walks, during which you might encounter the sampis (cows), fisherman or young people enjoying surf, but you will rarely meet with the tourist.

Villa Ba Jabula stands 25 meters above sea level and surrounded by rice fields where you be the witness of amazing sun sets from the south-western bay of the island. There is more furniture available to cater for larger groups and the staff will not hesitate to organize the facilities in the same but bigger way. Living Room

The main pavilion overlooking the rice terraces is a very spacious and covered pavilion open on all sides. It has an enormous lounging sofa and fantastic contemporary art. Villa Batujimbar is located in the heart of Sanur, on the southeastern tip of Bali. This four suite beachfront estate is cocooned in the Batujimbar Estate, giving it a serene and magical atmosphere while being surrounded by world-class restaurants and local attractions. Immersed in a rich history and set on spacious grounds surrounded by outstanding Balinese paintings, stone carvings and wall murals, Villa Batujimbar is a historic inspiration. The estate was the realization of a dream by Donald Friend, considered one of Australia’s most important artists. Friend resided in Sanur for much of the 1960s and 1970s. Villa Batujimbar is a testimony to Friend’s strong interest in traditional Balinese architecture and its reinterpretation.
Sri Lankan Geoffrey Bawa, an internationally recognized prolific and influential architect helped bring Friend’s vision to life.

The overall concept was inspired by the nineteenth century palaces at Klungkung and Amlapura. In 1975, Bawa designed various additions to the house, including a large museum building to house Friend’s collection of Balinese artworks and artifacts as well as Friend’s own paintings. Made of Majapahit red brick and rectangular in shape, the museum is set formally in the center of the compound with a moat around it and a long pool in the front.

Following Friend’s departure from Bali, Adrian Zecha, the founder of the Aman resorts became the estate’s owner. Subsequently, Zecha’s in house designer, Ed Tuttle (designer of many award winning hotels) was called in to refurbish the estate. Tuttle’s renovation gave the estate a new organized look emphasizing clean lines and space.

The next owner, international entrepreneur Graeme Robertson faithfully restored the estate to capture lifestyle opulence with the addition of a tennis court, gym and an impressive collection of art for the museum. The estate is spread over 1 hectare of landscaped gardens and ponds and made up of a number of separate buildings following the design of Balinese compounds with the kitchen in the south, the temple in the north-east, and the main house in the west. With wonderful indoor-outdoor relationships, orienting its various structures to catch views and breezes, and using traditional materials such as alang-alang thatching, bamboo, brick and paras stone, Villa Batujimbar creates its own magical ambience.

Villa Batujimbar has four generously sized suites, each with an open-plan en-suite bathroom. Two of the suites (suites three and four) are next to each other, located on the east of the estate. The other two suites (suites one and two) are located across the courtyard. The suites are luxurious, yet simple and uncluttered.

Villa Batujimbar is located within the Batujimbar Estate, arguably Bali’s most exclusive district, in the center of Sanur. Traditionally a fishing village, Sanur is one of the few remaining Brahman kuasa villages in Bali controlled by members of the priestly caste. Among its many charms, Sanur boasts some of the most beautiful processions on the island, Bali’s only female keris dance and the island’s oldest stone inscription.

Sanur is steeped in history, with some of the earliest recorded writings in Bali emblazoned on a pillar known as the Prasanti Blanjong. The pillar dates back to AD 913 and is now kept in a temple in Blanjong village, located in the south of Sanur. The inscriptions detail the arrival of a Javanese King who came to Bali to teach Mahayana Buddhism.

Quiet and relatively laid back, Sanur still has the feeling of old Bali. Ancient temples can be found interspersed along the Sanur coast. Characterized by coral walled enclosures providing shelter to platform altars, this style of temple is unique to the Sanur coast.

Sanur makes a good base for exploring the island as it is served by a main dual-carriage road that passes inland and not along the beach itself. Travel to Ubud takes 30 minutes, Seminyak, 25 minutes, the airport, 20 minutes and Bali’s capital, Denpasar, 15 minutes.

An excellent center for families, nearby, but detached from the popular tourist areas of Bali. Ready access to the Jimbaran restaurant area and on the main road to Ubud, Sanur represents the entrance to the mountain kingdoms and conversely, the coastal playgrounds. Good restaurants and massage and spa facilities are readily available in the quiet romantic environment of Sanur.

Covering 2100 square metres, the shingle-roof property comprises a large two-storey building complemented by a fully independent two-bedroom guesthouse, stand-alone gym, poolside gazebo and 20-metre swimming pool, well integrated within an expansive, flat-lawned garden.

The five air-conditioned bedrooms each feature ensuite bathrooms, there is also a living room, dining room, feature kitchen, and guest office/library, while the guest house incorporates its own living & dining room complete with small kitchen. Master Bedrooms

The two, sizeable, master bedrooms are located on the upper floor of the main building. Each is air-conditioned and each features a teakwood floor, a dressing area and an ensuite bathroom; each is complemented by a rooftop terrace with a lovely view of the garden, the neighbouring fields and a glimpse of the ocean. Both master bedrooms are furnished with a California king size bed, one of which is a Ziplock bed that can be converted into twin beds. Each room also presents teak wardrobes, shelf units, a desk, an upholstered daybed and a 32” satellite TV. Sliding doors lead from these master bedrooms into their respective ensuite bathrooms. Each spacious master bathroom is fitted with a bathtub with handheld shower, a double vanity unit with a large wall mirror and twin washbasins, and a toilet. One of the master bathrooms has the additional facility of a walk-in shower, complete with a glass door and a built-in seat.

Guest Room

There is a small air-conditioned guestroom on the ground floor complete with double bed, teak wardrobes, a built-in desk, lamps and artwork. The ensuite bathroom features a slate tiled floor and walls, a large walk-in rainshower, vanity unity with mirror and washbasin, toilet, and shelves for storage.

Guest House

The self-contained guest house offers independence and privacy; it is quite separate from the main building and accessed by a wooden bridge over an ornamental pond. This single-storey building incorporates two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, and a centrally positioned, open-sided, living & dining area complete with a small kitchen. The living space is furnished with segmented sofas and a glass-topped coffee table, and equipped with a satellite TV/DVD player, Nintendo Wii game system and an iPod dock. There is also a dining table for six. The kitchen is fitted with a two-burner gas hob, a refrigerator and cupboards. Of the two bedrooms, one is furnished with a king size bed, and the other with a king size Ziplock bed that can be converted to twin beds. Furnishings also include wardrobes and desks, and 26” wall-mounted TVs. Each bedroom features a tiled floor, soaring roof and glass doors on two sides, which open directly into the garden. Each is complemented by an ensuite bathroom with an open-air shower, a bathtub, a vanity unit with washbasin and mirror, and a toilet.

Living Room

The spacious living room is located poolside with glass doors on two sides that can be fully opened to create an open-air tropical living experience with the addition of a fan. Alternatively, the doors can be closed for air-conditioned comfort. The room features a cool tiled floor, upholstered chairs and segmented sofas, and is equipped with a 42” satellite TV and DVD player.

Dining Room with ensuite Kitchen

The large air-conditioned dining room is furnished with a table for 12, and also features a ceiling fan, mood lighting and sliding doors, which open onto the pool terrace. More doors on the opposite side can be opened to allow for cross ventilation and access into a walled garden area, bordered by a pond with bulrushes and lilies. At the far end of the dining room is an open-plan, fully equipped, feature kitchen with a marble work top, a central island, stylish white cupboards and stainless steel appliances. There is also a service kitchen and laundry hidden away behind the main kitchen.

Guest Office/Library

The guest office & library is located on the upper floor landing of the main building. This cool breezy space is comfortably furnished with sofas, chairs, an ottoman and a coffee table. It is decorated with local artwork and equipped with a computer and fax printer.

Gazebo

There is large open-sided ‘bale’ pavilion in the garden, with a raised wooden floor and a high roof, rattan sofas and a dining table for eight. It is cooled by natural breezes and two ceiling fans.

Pool & Garden

The extensive walled garden is stunningly landscaped around the 20 x 5 metre swimming pool, which is ideal for swimming laps. The flat green lawns are punctuated by palms, fragrant frangipanis, and other flowering trees. A wide timber deck, furnished with sunloungers and umbrellas, borders the infinity edge pool, which is lined with rustic Java stone. Every guest need has been considered with the provision of a pool bar, a pool shower and a guest washroom and toilet. There is even a surf board for guest use.

Gym

The air-conditioned Gym is a single-storey stand-alone building, located close to the swimming pool. It has a mirrored wall, sliding glass doors and is fully equipped with a treadmill, upright exercise bike, Concept2 Indoor Rower, multigym, free weights, adjustable bench, stretching and yoga mats, and an exercise ball. There is also an iPod dock.
